The Pearson Foundation helps teachers discover and share innovative new skills, and celebrates the profession’s best and most inspiring leaders.
We’re providing training and support to educators eager to apply the latest mobile and digital practices to their own classrooms, and showcasing the United State’s best representatives so that others can learn and be inspired by their practice.
Much of this work is presented within our own Mobile Learning Institute program. Since 2006, the Mobile Learning Institute’s hands-on professional development workshops have guided teachers to think creatively about the ways they can engage and energize young people with the mobile and digital tools they use outside of school every day.
When we can, we provide the same kind of support to non-profit organizations—national non-profits including Jumpstart, Project Exploration, Facing History and Ourselves, and the National Writing Project—that offer similar assistance to educators directly.
Our annual partnerships with CCSSO and the NEA Foundation also make use of these approaches, supporting and celebrating the nation’s best teachers while helping to document and share their own exemplary classroom practice.
