Track III: Reading Mentor Program

Many elementary schools have Reading Mentor Programs where fourth-graders, fifth-graders, and sixth-graders are paired with pre-K or kindergarten students. In preparation for Read for the Record, you might be inspired to start a Reading Mentor Program in your school. In this track you’ll find the Pearson Foundation’s basic outline of a suggested Reading Mentor Program. However, many variations of Reading Mentor Programs exist, and we encourage you to develop your own program based on what works for your students.
